Perry Maple’s Fresh Look at Gotham

I often wonder if there’s a limit on the number of animation styles artist can come up with, different ways of looking at the same beloved characters after years and years. Turns out, there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.

I just came across this delightful series from Perry Maple who offers a fresh perspective and animation style of the heroes and villains of Gotham. He has a number of bad guy portraits, and one of the central heroes Bats, Robin and Alfred as well.

I really do like this rather whimsical style which clashes with the normally dark tone of Gotham, but is still fun to see. Check out the full collection below:
