How To Make A Pineapple Flavored Tomb Raider Temple Cake

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to make a unique cake that looks like it came from the bakery without spending all the money that you need to spend in order to get a bakery-style cake? If you have, you might be interested to know that you can make a Tomb Raider cake without having a lot of special skills when it comes to baking. In fact, if you can bake a regular sheet cake and you can learn how to cut the cake properly, you can do this all on your own. The hardest part will be frosting the cake, but as long as you learn how to frost using a piping bag, you can handle it. This isn’t something you need to go take a special class for or anything. If you have doubts about your abilities when it comes to frosting the cake, grab a piping bag, fill it with frosting and practice on a piece of parchment paper. In reality, you can go from never having baked a cake like this to pulling one off in a single afternoon. It just takes a little patience and some effort.

If you want to do a cake that looks like a temple in order to honor the Tomb Raider movie, you can use a recipe for homemade pineapple pound cake that not only looks good, but tastes great too. You need 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of sugar, a stick of butter, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup of crushed pineapple, 1/2 cup of shortening, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of pineapple extract. You also need a couple of 8-inch square baking pans along with a 6-inch version, a sturdy spatula, and an electric mixer.

The first thing you need to do is cream your butter, sugar and shortening with the electric mixer. Next, add in your eggs one at a time. After your last egg has been mixed in, add your pineapple extract and use the electric mixer to blend it all. Next, add flour and salt and combine with the rest of your mixture. Last but certainly not least, add your crushed pineapple and be sure to mix it by hand. Now, your batter is ready to go into your greased, lined cake pans. Bake each one for an hour at 325 degrees. Once the cakes have cooled, they’re ready to frost.

When you begin frosting your cakes, frost the 6-in cake and one of your 8-inch cakes. Next, you will cut the other 8-inch cake into quarters and then quarter one of those quarters. Stack the different sizes of cakes one on top of the other, with the size gradually getting smaller as you get to the top. Your next step will to be to cut three triangles out of leftover cake in order to make the stairs. Finally, complete your frosting with a piping bag in order to create as much or as little detail as you desire. If you want to make it look exactly like the cake in the video, that’s great, but there’s nothing wrong with creating your own design as well.

Remember, this is your cake so have fun with it. Don’t be afraid to try something new and if it doesn’t come out completely perfect the first time, don’t worry about it. The main point is to have fun and create something different that you and the rest of the family can enjoy.
