Building a Better Book Title
There’s a blog out there for everything, and I’ve recently discovered one dedicated to the sole purpose of giving books new titles.
Through the magic of photoshop, creativity and reader submissions, they’ve re-titled a whole host of classic books, most of which you may not recognize unless you’re a bookworm, but some that are pretty darn obvious.
I pulled a few of the ones I liked the best and you can check them out below. And side note: even looking at this lead image gets me excited for Game of Thrones to come back soon.
That GRR Martin one is SO true. If he had named the book that, or if he had been straightforward about his love of killing off main characters, I wouldn’t have read the books and I wouldn’t hate him on a personal level.
whoah, you got Christopher Paolini’s works completely wrong. Sure, there are many things in the series that are clearly inspired by LotR (His name being one of them – Eragon/Aragorn… srsly?) But the whole plot is not really that similar to Lord of the Rings.
It’s actually an exact rip off of Star Wars, but set in a medieval universe.
I made a tumblr post describing the whole thing, showing that the Inheritance series is pretty much WORD FOR WORD Star Wars.
