Borderlands Launch Trailer is Too Cool Not to Watch Again

Alright, so I know I linked to this yesterday, but I can’t help but feature it again on the site today, because I’ve been looking forward to this game for too damn long.

Even past Mass Effect 3 (currently being butchered by launch day DLC and other such EA nonsense), I’m awaiting the arrival of Borderlands 2. The original game is the best co-op title to hit shelves for consoles in years, and I can’t wait to see just how much the game has evolved.

The trailer features a hell of a lot of dubstep (and subsequent Claptrap dancing), but more importantly introduces us to the major characters and wicked looking guns the new story offers. It’s all rather fantastic, and I hope it lives up to the crazily idealized picture of it that’s now firmly entrenched in my mind.

  1. I really loved the first one and spent hell of a time with it. The second one looks even greater (I prefer the new playable characters), Thanks for sharing the trailer!

  2. I’m really hoping that there’s a compelling story in this one, and a little character development couldn’t hurt either. Those were the only things that I felt the first game was lacking.

  3. I’ve been a huge fan of this game ever since I got it for Xbox shortly after release (and subsequently bought it again on PC for easier co-op). It’s such a refreshing view on the FPS genre, and I was honestly glad to see a game that put more effort into the gameplay and missions instead of making the game look as realistic (read: shades of brown and grey) as possible. The cel-shaded look works awesome for the mood that they set with this game.
