You may have thought this was another one of our site’s many ads (sorry about that, by the way), but it’s actually just a campaign to stop body shaming Godzilla. In his new film, he’s all CGI, and far from the physical bodysuits of old.
Still, I really like his design in this film. It was simultaneously old and new. A good homage to the old goofy suit, yet badass enough to work in a modern day blockbuster as well.

But seriously, in the profile shots of godzilla in the latest movie, he looks pretty damn tubby.
He looks a lot fatter in the movie than that picture. It really irritates me how much people hate the lean, realistic 1998 design but cheer on the waddling monstrosity of the new one.
