Bil Keane’s Elder Scrolls
Alright, as you might expect, we’re probably going to be shifting our focus a bit on the site here from classics like Portal and Pokemon to the game at hand, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. It’s arguably the biggest title of the year that doesn’t end in “of Duty,” and as such there are going to be a number of fanmade art and video projects relating to it that are worth featuring. Hopefully ones more well drawn than my own.
My attention was caught by this piece which imagines if Family Circus author Bil Keane (who died last week, RIP) took on the structure of a typical Elder Scrolls quest, and it’s something that definitely applies to the newest title, Skyrim.
I’m literally unable to complete even the simplest of quests without wandering off and clearing some random dungeon or praying at some random shine. And god help me if a dragon attacks. Side note: does anyone know what to do with Dragon Bones and Dragon Scales yet? They are heavy, valuable and I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be doing when them, so I just have a trunk full of dragon remains in my house for the time being.
As far as I know, the only use for Dragon Bones and Scales is in crafting Dragonbone Armor, which requires very high level smithing.
If you are going that route, I suggest saving up some gold to buy a house so that you have some permanent storage, or use the storage containers in the guild hall’s if you’ve become the master of that guild (companions, college of winterhold, etc.)
Once you reach level 100 in Smithing you can craft your own Dragon Armor with the dragon bones and the dragon scales.
Paul please feature this Skyrim rap! I love it so much, been listening to it almost daily for the last little while. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j50u0zUeCmU
