It’s annoying as all hell isn’t it? The dreaded 404 error page. It’s especially annoying if it’s your own site. Hopefully as a webmaster you’ll never have to deal with this issue for more than a few seconds but if in the event of a prolonged outage or the knowledge that an existing page will be no longer, why not entertain your visitors?
