You know we talk about stuff like Star Wars and Pokemon all the time on this site. But there’s one movie that’s had this everlasting effect that baffles me to this day: Bladerunner. It’s definitely a great film. Don’t get me wrong. Ahead of its time and all that but to know there’s a following out there that’s pretty huge is kind of weird.
Eh, I guess no weirder than The Matrix or something like that. Kind of cool that it’s stuck this long. And to this day people are still analyzing and making art out of it. In fact, there’s a whole thread on Something Awful about Bladerunner.

I was a bit dissapointed by the movie, didn’t really get what the big fuss was about. But yeah, I’d rather watch this movie 10 times, than any of the Star Wars movies again. God, those movies suck so fucking much.
Ah, and apparently Pat Smear (The Germs, Nirvana, Foo Fighters) has a small role in Blade Runner, so it has that going for it I guess.
I know this might get my nerd card revoked, but I’m gonna say it anyway: Bladerunner is the most overrated sci-fi movie of ALL TIME!
