Save Shaq Fuuuuu!

Published by under Images,Video Games

So by itself, this picture of a Shaq Fu castle is good enough to post, but even better is the context behind it, as it comes from a website called “SaveShaqFu.com” which is trying to save the beloved(?) game from extinction.

Join us, won’t you? Saving Shaq Fu is not as tedious of a process as you may have been informed at other websites. For you see, contrary to popular belief, each copy saved will make you that much more happier. Knowing that a game that was built for your entertainment is living its life to the fullest is one of the best things a man, woman or child could ever ask for.

There are multiple ways to stand strong and save a Shaq Fu. You’ve already taken the first step by visiting this website, and we believe you’re ready to take the second step to Heroism. All you need to do is take a look around your local area. If you happen to come across a used game store of any sort, don’t be afraid, have a peek and see what you can find. Look for any form of a quivering, scared, homeless Shaq Fu and save it.

For the uninitiated, I’ve posted a video of the gameplay below, so you can see if you’ve ever managed to play this game as a child where Shaq time travels to fight Arabs. If you’ve got a copy, contact the site here and do your part to save Shaq Fu, truly one of the most noble causes of our time.

Black Ops Mythbusters: Episode One

Published by under Video Games,Videos

My favorite fact-finding YouTube series is back now that Call of Duty: Black Ops is out, and this first video contains a bit of everything.

Yeah, it may be kind of useless to know you can strap C4 onto an RCXD, but other things like knowing that the Flak Jacket can protect you from those annoying ass cars is actually very useful in-game.  And the ability to dive over an RPG? That’s just some pure awesomeness right there.

Check out the rest of the myths above, and if there’s any really good ones in episode two, I’ll post that as well.

Must Be an RPG Hero

Published by under Images,Video Games

As games move further and further toward realism, there’s one genre that still isn’t budging in that direction. That would be the RPG, where even limited inventories are never all that limited, and more often than not your character should end up looking like this guy when all is said and done.

At this rate you could just spin around in a circle like the Tasmanian Devil and end up murdering everything around you. But that would require being able to move, and even with your giant mass of muscles, I don’t think you’d be terribly mobile with two tons of axes and swords strapped to you. And let’s not forget the 97 health and mana potions they didn’t even have room to show here.

If Super Mario Bros. Was a Nickelodeon Cartoon

Have you seen what passes for children’s television these days? Cartoons are now more cracked out than ever before, and I grew up in the days of CatDog and Ren and Stimpy, so that’s saying something. Artist Dirk Erik Schultz‘s rendition of Super Mario Bros. would fit right in with the current cartoon climate, and he’s produced a series of illustrations rendering the Mario gang as hyper exagerrated cartoons, even more so than they were already.

I’ve got a whole gallery of his work after the jump, and he’s got some pretty elaborate pieces in there. It’s like a cross between Alice and Wonderland and a dream I had after I ate a four month old burrito. Check them out below:

The Pokebra is Pushing It, Even for Me

Published by under Images,Video Games

It’s a common misconception here that my appreciation for Pokemon is actually a fetish, which I must reiterate is NOT the case. Your girlfriend dresses up in ONE Halloween costume and people get all sorts of crazy ideas.

So yeah, even I wouldn’t be sure what to say if a girl whipped her shirt off and had on the Pokebra underneath. I’d probably stand there transfixed, and then spontaneously break into the Pokerap and then request that she send out Boobachu and then hopefully by the end, Team Rocket would be blasting off again. Alright, I’m done before I take this to an even stranger place.

Six Movies that Make You Question Your Grip on Reality

Published by under Lists,Movies

Yes, it’s true movies are fictional, but sometimes if profound enough, they can make you think about life in a way you haven’t before.

These movies? They could make you question the very notion of reality if you decided to dwell on their core concepts long enough. If only for a brief moment, you thought there might be some sinister truth behind your life where everything is not as it seems.

As always, I’m sure I’m missing your favorite example of this phenomenon, so feel free to add in your own in the comments. But first check my picks out below:

10 Very Funny “Owned on Facebook” Pics

Published by under Images

If there’s one thing I can take out of Facebook in all the years I’ve been around it, it’s that you simply don’t want to get mixed up in being too personal on the site.   What I mean is, keep it light for Christ’s sake.  Don’t talk about your personal life.  Don’t bitch about work.  Just stop!

Use it as a place to keep in touch with friends but leave the “real” chatter to the phone, texts, whatever.  Just don’t do it on the site.  You’re setting up yourself for a big time failure.

But some people clearly don’t listen.  Check out these awesome fails….

Snooki Fan Art: This is Great

Published by under Images

I assume or hope that by now some of the Jersey Shore craze has died down.  Well that’s at least until Nicole Polizzi AKA Snooki’s book comes out.  I cannot believe an actual book deal was made with this person.  How is this possible?  While I let you guys ponder that, let’s ponder this.

Her “character” which is really just her has become so sticky that people actually took the time out to make fan art of her.  Yes!  I had to see this and I tried to collect some of the “finer” images of the famed reality TV star.

These are not pretty but some are definitely worth a chuckle…..
