The Dark Game of Hobbit Thrones by Jason Yang
There are a trillion violinists on YouTube trying to rack up views and likes on the site, but few stick out in my mind like Jason Yang. The guy’s got talent, and it’s no surprise to me he keeps popping up in “you gotta listen to this” music videos.
Above he’s crafted a combination piece that uses music from The Dark Knight, Game of Thrones and The Hobbit. It’s a freaking fantastic piece of music, employing the best moments from all three tracks.
After this, the most requested song for him to do is Game of Thrones’ Rains of Castamere. You may not know what that is yet, but you should by the end of the season. Is there even actual….music to that yet? Isn’t just a song written out with words in the book? Errr nevermind, they did it for the ending of ‘Blackwater’ in season two. That’s pretty awesome, and yes, Yang should do that immediately.
I was under the impression that the intro to this mix IS the Rains of Castamere, especially after comparing it to:

Which she did before they premiered it in the show. If you haven’t listened to her other stuff too, you really should. Started with her interpretations of Skyrim music, but she’s got some other great stuff too.
Yeah, the intro is most definitely the Lannister song. How did you miss The National doing it over the credits of Blackwater, Paul?! That’s all the nerdosphere was talking about for weeks. WEEKS.
That and they’ve been singing the song like every other episode as well.
