Solo in Carbonite…in Your Door

solo

Behold, the coolest thing you can put on your door since that Kelli Kapowski/Michale Jordan dual poster combo you had there in 1992. It’s an enormous, high quality decal of Han Solo in carbonite, a geek must-have for the not-low price of $140.  But can you put a price on awesomeness? Apparently so, and it’s $140.

The effect works best with no actual knob, as seen here, but if you like, actually want your room secure I suppose you can work around it.

What else was carbonite used for in Star Wars? I never heard about it other than when it was being used to freeze people, but that can’t be its household use.

  1. It’s been a while since I was into the series to this degree, but I seem to remember the in-universe explanation for that freezing chamber being preservation of goods. Carbonite, it seems, is better than packing peanuts and way more preservative. It had never been used on a human, thus the concern over Solo’s safety.

Yeah, I’ll just be over here if you need me.
