If Harry Potter Was an ’80s Anime

I sort of love this video from Nacho Punch, which transforms Harry Potter from book series/sort of good film series into a much-improved 1980s anime in the style of Akira and others like it.

The format fits the crazy story surprisingly well, and I love the wand mega-explosions that have to accompany any anime from that era.

I love Akira, but I need to get back on the horse and get through Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell. Anime is not my strong suit, but I need to beef up my nerd cred in that department.

I think I'm a part of the first generation of journalists to skip print media entirely, and I've learned a lot these last few years at Forbes. My work has appeared on TVOvermind, IGN, and most importantly, a segment on The Colbert Report at one point.
