Every “Frodo” and “Sam” from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Above you’ll find a supercut which is exactly what it sounds like. Someone went through and cut out every single reference to either Frodo or Sam’s name throughout the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy. Turns out, like 1% of the total running time is people say either of their names.
Also, it seems that when you say Frodo enough times in a row, it starts to sound like “Hodor,” which reminded me of another epic fantasy series. Also, I still maintain that Frodo and Sam are one of the greatest love stories of our time. Just watch the end of Return of the King again if you don’t believe me.
Frodor. I giggled.
Definitely agree that Frodo and Sam are a fantastic love story, although not in the romantic sense.
Makes me think of something I read in “What is Marriage?”, the authors make a case that we have a lost an understanding of love relationships a person can have outside of romance/marriage. Very interesting stuff.
Kind of reminded me of one of the core problems with the film, They tried to make Frodo the main character and Sam an accessory to him when in the books Sam is always the real main character (It’s not just me Tolkien wrote that it was his intent). Still an epic bromance though.
TIMMY!!
