Batman: The Samurai Epic
I’m pretty sure we’ve featured artist Scott Wade a few times here on the site, and there’s a good reason for that. He’s damn good, and more importantly, has damn good ideas.
Ideas like the notion to turn Batman into a samurai/ninja epic as seen above and below. That’s Bats in full ninja gear above, but I think even better than that is Sensei Gordon beating the Bat Signal drum.
Mr. Freeze also makes an appearance in the final entry, and I assume more villains will follow soon. Expect a return to this series shortly.

“At the close of the Samurai Era, the streets of Kyoto run red with blood. Former Samurai roam the land, trying to survive in a time that has forsaken them. One such night, the head of the wealthy Watanabe clan are caught in the chaos. Only the young heir survives.
15 years later, in the age of Meiji, the Samurai age has passed and modernization has taken hold. However, peace in the former capitol has been shattered. Ronin flood the area, gangs run parts of the city and it is up to new police chief Goto to restore order.
