A Live-Action Akira Fan Trailer
Hollywood has reportedly been making a live-action version of Akira for years now, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
A few fans got tired of waiting, and decided to take things into their own hands. They started an Indiegogo to raise funds to put together a live action trailer of what Akira might look like when it finally does make it to the big screen. Or at least what it should look like (starring Asian people, not Leonardo DiCaprio).
The result is pretty damn impressive for an amateur budget, and it certainly helps that they use my favorite trailer song of all time from Michael McCann’s Deus Ex soundtrack. That track just screams sci-fi epic. See for yourself above.
