A Bart Simpson Bling Tattoo? No

Published by under Images

Bart Tattoo

I can’t even begin to describe the wrong that is this tattoo.   There’s like 8 different cultures going on in this picture.  But let’s explore a few.

First off that mustache is something right out of Gangs of New York.  So I suppose this guy is going for the really really old school gangster look?  Maybe?  Possibly?  That hat kind of fits in right?

OK, but then the nose ring.  Not sure they had those back then.

And then you have the “gangsta” look.  Yeah, where you add the “a.”  The more urban look because of the chain on the tattoo.  But then when you actually look at the tattoo it contains an eagle, a cassette tape, a camera, and a robotic Bart Simpson which to me conveys somewhat of a trucker kind of thing.

I’m literally out of breath at this point.

The Mind Blowing Revelation that Majora’s Masks are Starfox Characters

Published by under Video Games,Videos

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIoryLG6qfc

It might be one of the most obvious Easter Eggs of all time that no one really got initially. Majora’s Mask might be an incredibly complex game, but the mask selection here should have been a pretty obvious homage to another classic Nintendo title. This video spells it out for you just in case you still don’t get it.

To be fair, I really did think the first one was Pikachu rather than Fox. The Slippy one though? Come ON. There’s nothing else it could be.

Speaking of which, why the hell haven’t we gotten a Starfox Wii game yet? Oh because the Wii sucks, and is too busy making games you play with your ass, that’s why.

The Scarface School Play That You Don’t Want to Fudge With

Published by under Movies,Videos

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Del6viNWSk

I couldn’t quite believe my eyes when I first saw this video today. A bunch of kids recreating Scarface for a school play subbing in “fudge” for “f*ck” and popcorn for cocaine? This was too good to be true. It’s a must watch, and will most definitely be the next viral video to sweep the country.

Buuuut yeah, it is too good to be true, and the whole thing was staged by director Marc Klasfeld, who has done music videos for Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert. The audience is made up of family, friends and extras, and the kids were found using a casting agency that specializes in finding kid versions of adult actors.

So sure, it’s all fake, but that only makes it slightly less awesome. Check it out above and hopefully some progressive school will make it a reality someday. Kids gotta grow up some time right?

12 Acapella Versions of Your Favorite Game and TV Themes

Published by under Video Games,Videos

simpsons-acapella.gif

It’s true, most of the time Acapella is lame. It’s associate with dorky groups of guys in high school and college who all harmonize and sing versions of songs that usually make them worse.

However, sometimes Acapella can be fun to listen to, like when they’re singing the theme songs to your favorite shows or video games. I overlooked the nerdiness and assembled the best videos into this post which you can see and listen to below. Enjoy.

A Five Years Later Tribute to Mitch Hedberg

Published by under Videos

mitch-hedburg.jpg

All Mitch fans out there should get this, all others really need to discover his genius.

I had the high honor of seeing one of Mitch’s last stand-up shows before he died five years ago yesterday. I remember it so well. My roommate shouted “I love you Mitch!” during his set to which he calmly replied, “Come to my hotel later.”

I might do a larger Mitch post some time soon, but until then, watch this classic video to go along with the above artistic memorial:

Unreal Movie Review: How to Train Your Dragon

Published by under Movies,Reviews

dragon.jpg

Add How to Train Your Dragon to the list of animated films that are just as enjoyable for adults as they are for children.  In fact, today’s animated films are far less likely to disappoint than live action ones, especially when it comes to DreamWorks or Pixar productions.  I had reasonably high expectations for How to Train Your Dragon, the movie based on the 2003 children’s novel of the same name.  I was not only not disappointed, but I enjoyed the movie’s thoughtful story and dazzling visuals so much that I am considering seeing it again.  Keep reading for the full review; some minor spoilers ahead.

Chewbacca Doing Human Stuff is Very Funny

Published by under Images

Funny Chewbacca

If there’s one thing we like here at Unreality it’s putting movie characters out of context.  For example if you see pictures of a photoshopped Indiana Jones hanging out at a baseball game it’s pretty funny.

And off all the characters it’s funny to see out of context, Chewbacca has to rank very high on the list.  Only the pictures I’ve found are not photoshopped.

These are real pictures of Chewie in situations outside of Star Wars

The Six Best Ed Norton Movie Roles

Published by under Movies

Ed Norton

When thinking about Edward Norton I wanted to be clear in explaining who I think he is as a dominant figure in Hollywood.  But the folks at Filmreference put it best.

Edward Norton is that extreme rarity among modern actors: someone whoactually seems more interested in becoming an actor than becoming a star—though he seems destined for both. Having received two Academy Award nominations in his first six film roles, Norton has reason to believe that stardom can actually detract from an actor’s ability to act, since the more the audience knows about an actor, the harder it is for them to suspend their disbelief.

While Norton is erring on the side of blockbusters lately he’s still the man.  Every actor does films for money so I can’t blame Norton for doing The Incredible Hulk and now The Avengers.  The bottom line is that he’s a phenomenal actor who ranks up there with the DiCaprio’s of the world.

And in his honor I decided to come up with his six best movie roles

The Morning Link: Classic Movie Moments Not in the Script

Published by under Morning Link

Indy

There are plenty of shows that rely on actors being spontaneous.  Directors feel that sometimes when an actor can ad lib it creates a more realistic scene.

Once in a while, despite the fact that it’s scripted, a movie can get an unexpected line or two from actors.  It could be a spur of the moment type thing or the actor may have been planning it all along.

But you’d be surprised that some of Hollywood’s most famous lines were not even written…

Check out five classic movie moments that weren’t in the script
