The Final Countdown: Britney on Glee, Facts About Women and Holiday Video Game

Published by under Final Countdown

Go here to see how Britney was on Glee.

Glee is one of those shows that I really gave a chance, but it just got old quick for me. The fact that they keep pulling pop stars to appear on it is impressive, but a bit gimmicky if you ask me. So how then did Britney Spears’ appearence on the show go? Read above to find out.

Unreality’s Facebook page is so lucky, she’s a star.

Is Avatar Tattoo Guy Finally Done?

Published by under Images,Movies

It appears I wasn’t paying close enough attention as I missed one of Avatar Tattoo Guy‘s latest installments, and checking back with him today we now have two more tats and a license plate illustrating the crazy.

The tattoo I missed appears to be a special ed version of Neytiri, where his tramp stamp is a slightly better rendition of her holding a bow.

Is he done? Is his mission finally complete? Or will he be covering his love handles,  or shoulders, or arms with more love for Neytiri? Or will he possibly be committed to a mental institution before he gets the chance?

Dance Fortress 2 Looks Like a Hell of a Good Time

Published by under Video Games,Videos

I haven’t played Team Fortress 2 ever, but the fact that its community gets so damn excited about it might be an indicator that it’s worth checking out.

I love dancing mixed with video games, so much that I wrote a whole post about it once, and had this video existed, it certainly would have been at the top of the list.

It’s a short clip, but is really well done, and I highly suggest you click through the video to YouTube and watch it in full 1080p.

I’d Like to Tap Her Mana Pool

Published by under Images,Oddly Enough

Damn, and there I was in college, thinking I was awesome because I wore a Dance Dance Revolution mat to an “anything but clothes” party. But I am more than one-upped by this girl and her Magic the Gathering playing card dress, which is rife with the potential for so many puns, they’ve all collided inside my head and blown up. In any case, props to her for letting her geek flag fly.

10 Shows You Should Watch Now That They’ve Ended

Published by under Lists,Television

I’m writing this post in response to everyone who keeps asking me “What are good shows to watch?” which as an entertainment blogger, is a question I should naturally have an answer to. I could recommend any number of titles that are still on the air, but to me, nothing is more frustrating that watching a show on DVD, then switching to watching it week to week.

In fact, I think the way to best watch TV is to wait until the entire series is over, and then watch them in big chunks whenever you have time, finishing an entire series in anywhere from a few days to a month. If I had the willpower to wait years for many of my current favorite shows to go off the air, I’d do that with them as well, but now I only do it on occasion. I’m currently working my way through True Blood season three, and I’ll probably catch up on Entourage soon.

But as for shows that are already off the air, here are the DVD sets you should pick up (or torrents you should download), if you want to get into some really good TV that you can watch whenever you feel like, without being constricted to a mere twenty or forty minutes per week. They feature some of my all-time favorite series, and if you have any more questions about any of them, I’d be happy to elaborate more in the comments.

Unreal Movie Review: Catfish

Published by under Movies,Reviews

Catfish, perhaps known to you as that other social networking movie, is one of the more powerful documentaries released in the past few years.  And yes, it is indeed a true documentary (do not click on this link unless you’re fine with spoilers), which seems so hard to believe considering how tightly everything fits together.  Whereas many themes of the dangers of forming relationships over the Internet are present, at its core, Catfish is a moving tale about people and the lengths they will go to for the sake of being noticed.  Fincher’s The Social Network will presumably have the world buzzing, but Catfish is a film that may be just as relevant.

Pac Man in the Wild is More Disturbing Than You Might Imagine

Published by under Images,Video Games

Yeeesh. I’ve seen real life interpretations of video game characters before, but I never imagined that Pac Man would be one of the more disturbing ones I’ve seen to date.

I’m not sure where this came from, but I have a sneaking suspicion it’s from the same person who did the life-like Super Mario Piranha Plant a while back. (Update: yep, it’s him).

I think the tongue is really what gets me, otherwise it just could have been a piece of fruit cut weirdly, but that mouth area looks like something I don’t quite want to say out loud here.

Inventing a New All-Star Cast of In Living Color

Published by under Lists

I tell ya if there’s one show I miss to no end it’s In Living Color.   What was so great (and at the same time so crappy) about the show is that it will never be duplicated.  It was one of the most racist shows in the history of television.  And unfortunately after that show you just didn’t see that kind of racial profiling in comedy shows anymore….that is until The Chappelle Show.

But if all the stars aligned and we were in a perfect world I would love to see a sketch comedy show come out that would simple destroy SNL.  I think a revival of In Living Color could do it but only if it were casted well.

Clearly this is a dream scenario but if I could have a new In Living Color cast this is who I’d choose…..

The Morning Link: The 10 Worst Lines from Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

Published by under Morning Link

I didn’t half mind Wall Street 2, but many others disagree with me, including our own Nattyb, who told me it was “the worst movie he’s seen in five years.” To further illustrate how that could be the case, here are ten of the worst lines from the film.

Go here to read them.
