Happy Halloween from Unreality

Published by Paul Tassi under Images,Movies,Oddly Enough

battle-royale-halloween-costume-2.jpg

Happy Halloween everyone, and thanks for helping me pick my costume this year. In case you don’t get it, I’m going as a Japanese seventh grader from Battle Royale. That collar around my neck is set to explode if I don’t kill all my other classmates on the island within 72 hours. Explaining this to people is not going to be fun, but whatever, I think it turned out pretty well, right? And yes, I have a fake samurai sword to replace my real one when I actually go out.

Here’s a clip from the movie below if you haven’t seen it. It’s Stephen King and Quentin Tarantino’s favorite book and movie of the decade respectively, and it makes for a great drinking game.

The Final Countdown: Popular Monster Myths, The Scariest Book, and an Ugly Expensive Sculpture

If you don’t believe in monsters, you’re part of a tiny minority of humans. Pretty much all of the cultures on Earth have believed in monsters for most of their history and, even stranger, they all believed in the same monsters.

The Latest ‘Avatar’ Trailer Has Sold Me Once and For All

Published by Paul Tassi under Movies

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9ceBgWV8io

I think it’s the part in this new three and a half minute long trailer where they start flashing all of Cameron’s previous movies onscreen that I realized that the man simply does not make bad movies, and even if this is about crippled space marines and blue anorexic aliens, we’re just going to have to trust him because he hasn’t let us down before.

Also, I think a three inch YouTube screen, or even a 16 inch computer monitor just aren’t giving these trailers justice. Once it’s in IMAX 3D, I think it’s going to blow everyone away, and we’ll all be wondering just what the hell we were all worrying about.

Hopefully.

DANGER! DANGER! – Jailbait Jolie

Published by Paul Tassi under Uncategorized

Good lord. You don’t even want me to tell you how old Angelina Jolie was in this set of recently surfaced modeling photos. Seriously.

You do? Ugh.

Sixteen.

Now, before I say anything to get myself in trouble. I’m just going to post a few more pictures after the jump and keep my mouth shut.

Admit It, It’s Cute: A Gallery of Kids in Sci-Fi Costumes

Published by Nattyb under Oddly Enough

Star Wars Kids

Well I knew I had to do some kind of costume post given that Halloween is tomorrow and all.  And it’s a tough task because I feel like we’ve already covered just about everything on this site.

From sexy cosplay to ugly cosplay to just flat out disgusting displays of robes, garbs, boxes, and aluminum foil, we’ve really covered the spectrum.

But oddly enough we haven’t covered little kids.  And I suppose it’s because I don’t want to come off all pedophile on you people.  Still though, it had to be done.

And these little kids in sci-fi gear is nothing short of adorable

Unreal Movie Review: Saw VI

Published by Paul Tassi under Movies,Reviews

saw1.jpg

If it’s Halloween, it’s Saw. That’s not my opening for this review, it’s the official tagline of the Saw series now, as they understand that they’ve successfully created a brand synonymous with the year’s most fun holiday. Not bad for a few drums of fake blood and a dump truck full of scrap metal.

Is there really any point in complaining that this series is still going? There’s no stopping it. It’s like bitching at the tornado whirling down your street. Instead of talking about how lame it is that it’s there, just head to your basement and wait until it’s over.

But some of us are tornado chasers, and every year we turn out to see just what madness this year’s installment will bring. Even though we usually know what to expect, the constant question of “where the hell do they go from here?” is just too pressing for us to ignore.

10 Hilarious Clips from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Published by Madison under Television,Videos

 day-man-costume.jpg

Alright, this is pretty simple: if you watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, you know that it’s the funniest show on television, hands down.  If you don’t watch it, you’re missing out.  There’s no debate here, there’s no matter of opinion.  You’re either in or you’re out.  Claims to the contrary will fall upon deaf ears.  Every single person I’ve recommended this show to has told me that they’ve loved it, and hopefully a lot of you guys are already on the boat.  Charlie has always been my favorite, but Mac and Dee have stepped it up big time this season.  Dennis is always a douchebag, which makes for great comedy.  It’d be appropriate to have a beer this Friday morning as you enjoy 10 hilarious clips from the funniest show on television, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The Morning Link: Celebrity Halloween Costume Suggestions

Published by Nattyb under Uncategorized

Mel

Halloween and celebrities go hand-in-hand because celebrities spend their entire lives pretending to be somebody else.

Celebrities also have a lot in common with Halloween because they have the ability to suck the blood from other humans like vampires, many of them look like corpses after too much plastic surgery and they often disappear like ghosts once their careers are over.

So please, let’s try and match up celebrities and costumes.

Can you blame us here folks?  We’re pretty much limited to TV, Film, and Video Games on this site.  We nearly never post hot chicks unless they are in costumes!  Phew.  Thank God.  I was beginning to think we were asexual.

‘Left 4 Dead 2,’ As Censored by the Australian Government

Published by Paul Tassi under Video Games,Videos

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95PcRNVX5gM

This video serves the dual purpose of being a gameplay demo for the new Left 4 Dead (I’ve only seen a handful of in-game footage thus far) and showing you what it’s like when the government censors video games. Australia recently banned Left 4 Dead 2 because presumably, it was too violent, something that I didn’t even think was possible for a video game these days, especially when the violence is being directed toward zombies instead of say, kittens and children. But they thought the dismembering of the undead was too much for its citizens, so they now have this version of the game.

Now it’s not totally devoid of blood, there are a few drops post-pan whacking, but the mist I thought might be blood is actually just smoke from the gun. It plays the same way I guess, but when a game is all about massacring zombies, you’re losing a lot of the fun factor my making it PG-13. This doesn’t really matter in most games (I could give a shit about blood spray in Halo 3), but here, I think it’s pretty necessary. Don’t you?
