The Final Countdown: Sexy Twitter Babes, Fri Free Awesome Poster, and Veronica Taylor

Published by Nattyb under Final Countdown

Mina

The three keys to building a successful social networking website are really quite simple. First you have to create a simplistic website platform that allows hot women to easily share photos and talk about themselves all day long. Then you go out and recruit a bunch of hot girls and aspiring models and get them to sign up for your website. Then you advertise on a bunch of those adult-type websites and get the dudes to sign up. The rest of it pretty much takes care of itself.Go here if you want to see random sexy twitter babes

Xbox 720 Concept/Alien Anti-Matter Bomb

Published by Paul Tassi under Images, Video Games

xbox-720.jpg

The great thing about concept art is that the artist isn’t limited by any sort of sense of logic and functionality. Their products can be purely about design and therefore tend to look awesome.

The bad thing about concept art is that it’s concept art meaning you will never, ever see this made in real life. Maybe if it was concept art from Microsoft, but not from Tai Chiem. Who’s Tai Chiem? Exactly. He’s the talented guy who made this, but doesn’t work for Microsoft.

Anyways, it’s cool speculation nonetheless. Hit the jump to see more shots and colors of the 720.

A 5th Rambo Movie is Greenlighted: Let the Jokes Fly

Published by Nattyb under Movies

Rambo

According to Variety

John Rambo’s officially readying for a fifth mission.  Nu Image/Millennium Films has greenlit the franchise’s fifth installment, with Sylvester Stallone starring and directing, repeating his duties from 2008’s “Rambo.”

The upcoming project’s storyline revolves around Rambo fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border. Production will start in the spring.

Please oh please can we start up with jokes about walkers and canes and stuff?  I just don’t have it in me to come up with anything.  Let’s do a little Rambo 5 joke contest or something.

I’m waiting and counting on you guys…..

‘Bad Boys 3′ - Yay or Nay?

Published by Paul Tassi under Movies, News

bad-boys-3.jpg

Note: not actual poster.

Well, well. Here’s a franchise I didn’t think we’d be coming back to any time soon. I appreciate Bad Boys as much as the next idiotic Michael Bay explosionfest. It’s a series made bearable by Smith and Lawrence’s banter, but I’m definitely not clamoring for more. But someone at Columbia got the bright idea in their heads to greenlight the writing of a new script, even though the last film only made $128 mil.

But just because there will be a script, that doesn’t mean this will for sure see the light of day. For the project to be truly in the Bad Boys spirit you need Bruckheimer, Bay, Smith AND Lawrence. The only one of those likely to come cheap? Lawrence, and even he probably costs more than he used to. Meanwhile, Smith can play his card as the most “bankable actor in Hollywood” and demand $20M for even a phoned in performance.

I say can it. How about you?

What the Hell? Disney Buys Marvel!

Published by Paul Tassi under Movies, News

spiderman1.jpg

This is a strange bit of news to wake up to. Disney has purchased Marvel for a whopping $4 billion, and now owns the right to every single Marvel character out there. Bye bye Spiderman ride at Universal Studios. Here’s what Disney had to say about the purchase:

“This transaction combines Marvel’s strong global brand and world-renowned library of characters including Iron Man, Spider-Man, X-Men, Captain America, Fantastic Four and Thor with Disney’s creative skills, unparalleled global portfolio of entertainment properties, and a business structure that maximizes the value of creative properties across multiple platforms and territories,” said Robert A. Iger, President aof The Walt Disney Company. “Ike Perlmutter and his team have done an impressive job of nurturing these properties and have created significant value. We are pleased to bring this talent and these great assets to Disney.”

Questionable. Highly ****ing questionable. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the superhero movie genre is going to flameout pretty damn soon. We’ve been cranking it hard for the better part of a decade, since the first X-Men movie hit screens, but now?  We’re alla bit sick of it. Yes, Iron Man 2 will be good, and across the way, DC’s next Batman sequel is one of the most anticipated movies ever. But besides that? I don’t think anyone’s all that pumped about Thor, Cap’n, Fantastic Four reboots, more Hulk atrocities or even more Spidey flicks. But I guess it’s all about business, and if all the films are profitable, it ain’t so bad to own the rights.

Also, this will expand into other marketing areas for Disney as well. TV and amusement parks to be specific. Disneyland with Marvel characters? Hell yes.

I don’t know, this seems like an odd move on the tail end of this superhero era of filmmaking. But that being said, these characters have been around for decades, and even if we tire of their films for now, it’s not so bad to know you own them and everything they do from here on out.

15 Prime Examples of Video Game Console Costumes

Published by Nattyb under Video Games

Video Game Costume

You know what’s funny about Cosplay?  It’s an illusion.  It’s become so popular because of its name.  That’s it.  That’s my theory.  You take costume, combine it with “play” and all of a sudden you have this new genre.  When you really think about it, it’s simply costumes.  That’s all they are.

I mean if I dress as a couch for Halloween is it me doing Cosplay for the couch genre?  It probably is.  You gotta love the mentality of super dweebs.  If it’s got a cool name, then it’s allowed.

You know, like WoW.  Oooohhhh.  Just call it World of Warcraft will ya?

Anyway, here are some cool video game console costumes

15 of the Most Memorable Lines in Video Game History

Published by Paul Tassi under Lists, Video Games

hey-listen.gif

This is an exceptionally hard list to write, as over the years there have been thousands of hours of written and recorded video game dialogue, but I had to finish this post before the sun dies, so I cut it down to fifteen.

Some lines are classics that are older than me. Some are internet memes based on hilarious mistranslation. Some are throwaway, but they stick in your head because of how frequently you heard them.

I’m sure I forgot your favorite as I’m so good at doing, but that’s why we have a comments section!

10 Memorable Fictional Wrestlers in Movies

Published by Madison under Lists, Movies

 rocky.jpg

In that past, I compiled a list of performances by wrestlers in movies, but what about the portrayal of wrestlers?  Sometimes they’re portrayed as mindless meatheads, knowing only how to scream and bodyslam people.  But as Mickey Rourke proved, sometimes wrestlers can be portrayed as real, complex human beings.  And who plays these wrestlers in movies?  More often than not, it seems, the best man for the job is a wrestler himself.

After the jump, take a look at 10 memorable fictional wrestlers in movies.  And for the purposes of this list, I’m only considering the professional or “fake” wrestling type.  Sorry, Louden Swain.  Also, one fictional wrestler per movie.

The Morning Link: Badass Man vs. Beast Showdowns

Published by Nattyb under Morning Link

Beast

If there is one thing we all know, it is that we are at the top of the food chain but by the grace of God. All around us are animals that are more powerful, more vicious and generally way more badass.

But not all humans go down without a fight; some people look these creatures of certain doom in the eye, flex their muscles and say, “Let’s do this.”

So, in the honor of that sentiment, check out the full article.

The Descent 2: Sure, but Why?

Published by Paul Tassi under Movies, Trailers

Just because a horror movie CAN have a sequel, that doesn’t mean it SHOULD. Such is the case with The Descent, which I absolutely loved, though now with the prospect of a sequel, I’m worried something will taint my memory of the film.

From the trailer it looks exactly like what you’d expect, except the monster are no longer a surprise revelation. There’s darkness, blood pool and rocks, and I’m wondering what this movie will have that the other didn’t, besides a different writer and director (Danger Will Robinson!). In any case, I’ll have to see it for curiosity’s sake alone.
