The first full length trailer for the subway-hijacking film The Taking of Pelham 123 is out, and surprisingly enough, it makes me actually think that John Travolta is kind of a badass again, something I hadn’t considered since Face/Off like 10 years ago. Denzel appears to be playing the exact same role as he was in Inside Man, only instead of hostage negotiator, he’s civil worker turned hostage negotiator.
I also didn’t realize this was a Tony Scott joint, which explains Denzel’s presence. Apparently this film was made back in 1974, but presumably it’s going to be way more awesome this time around via more explosions and handlebar mustaches.
