The Back of a Webpage

This is a very cool project from a self-describing website called “back of a webpage.” It imagines what a host of popular sites look like from the rear, so we can see what mechanisms power the versions we see onscreen.

As you can, see Twitter is literally run by little birds, which explains why it’s down all the time because their brains or so small. Below we also have Apple, Flickr, Google and YouTube. There’s a Facebook one on the actual site as well, but I don’t understand it, and as you’ll see, it probably wasn’t the best to feature.

What other sites could be good candidates for this series?

UPDATE: I’ve decided to show you the secret process that goes on behind the pages of Unreality. Check it out below.

  1. Hey Paul,
You’re probably pretty busy, but I created an AMA request for you on reddit for you to talk about your creative process and how you started the website. If it gets enough upvotes you should totally do it.
Cheers and have a happy Tuesday
    Diego
