Thomas Kinkade’s Star Wars

Thomas Kinkade is famous for his paintings of colorful, charming settings full of lush greenery and quaint houses. Artist Jeff Bennett wanted to unsettle Kinkade’s serene universes.

It’s how his series of Star Wars Kinkade paintings was born. Bennett went in and mucked about with a bunch of Kinkade’s work, inserting Star Wars imperials in a few of them. Here, we have Stormtroopers setting fire to an adorable house, below, you’ll find Star Destroys and AT-ATs in the woods.

Cool project, and I’d love to see more.
