Wes Anderson was born in Houston Texas, on May 1, 1969, although he now lives in Paris. He is a director, actor, producer, and screenwriter. He is best-known for creating films that have a narrative and visual style. This award-winning director has worked in the film industry since 1992 and has established himself as one of the most successful and creative directors of the current day. Many of his films have received great acclaim and achieved significant commercial success. His most recent film ‘Isle of Dogs’ is set for release on March 23, 2018, and Anderson has already won a Silver Bear for Best Director for this film. Here are five of the top Wes Anderson films.

5. The Darjeeling Limited

Wes Anderson directed the 2007 comedy-drama film ‘The Darjeeling Limited’ and co-wrote it with Jason Schwarzman and Roman Coppola. It stars Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Jason Schwarzman, Amara Karan, Anjelica Huston, and Barbet Schroeder. It won an award for Best Comedy at the 2018 Movies for Grownups Awards. This 2001 comedy-drama was directed by Wes Anderson who also co-wrote the film with Owen Wilson. The movie starred Danny Glover, Anjelica Huston Gene Hackman, Bill Murray and Gwyneth Paltrow. The story is about three gifted siblings who enjoyed success in youth but failure in adulthood. It is told in a literary narrative. 1. The Grand Budapest Hotel

This is the film for which Wes Anderson is most famous. Despite being a relatively low budget movie made with $25 million, this 2014 comedy film grossed $178.4 million at the worldwide box office. Anderson was the writer, director, and co-producer of the film. It starred Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Matthieu Amalric, Adrien Brody, and Willem Dafoe. The movie won multiple awards including Academy Awards for Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Original Score, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling. It also won a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture- Musical or Comedy.
