2012 Trailer Makes Me Think We Should Keep an Eye on Roland Emmerich

Seriously, by this point Roland Emmerich has to be on a few terrorist watch lists. This guy has made more movies about the violent end of the world than anyone in history: Independence Day, Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow, and now his latest is 2012 which focuses on the predicted Mayan apocalypse that’s supposed to wipe us all out in four years. (Insert Obama administration joke here).

The teaser trailer makes me about the same amount of skeptical I was for 10,000 BC. Is the Mayan end of days really just a giant flood? They already made that movie, it was called Waterworld, and it involved people drinking their own piss. I don’t think we need to go down that road again.
