‘A Christmas Carol’ in Creepy CGI Like You’ve Always Wanted!

Look Robert Zemeckis, you’re an awesome director who gave us awesome movies like Back to the Future and Forrest Gump, but you’ve got to cut it out with your latest goal of ruining Christmas every year with a creepily animated feature film. Last time it was the Polar Express, this time it’s A Christmas Carol, and it looks to be even more terrifying than the former.

I’m also not sure why Ebenezer Scrooge has been turned into some sort of action hero, as he spends the duration of the trailer jumping, falling or sailing across the screen. I know you’ve got to get some use out of that 3D tech, but I don’t know if this is the way to do it.

And really, A Christmas Carol? How many times has this been remade at this point? Everyone knows that the definitive version is the Muppets, and everyone just should have stopped trying after that.
