Pokemon Tea Set is the Best Work at an Elementary School Art Show Ever

What’s going on with the painting in the background? “I like soccer, baseball, basketball, communism and cookies” “Wait…What?” “I said cookies.”  Or we can interpret it as this:

The artist is trying to express the life of common luxuries we have become so expectant of. We, as a society, demand these common luxuries (characterized here by tea or coffee) be available to us at a moments notice – any day, any hour. With this piece, they are simultaneously displaying these luxuries and forbidding their consumption, which leaves the mind to wonder whether our comfort with such availability comes from desires and wants or addiction and demand.

Ehhhh, maybe not.  After all it’s a 6th grader.
