A Well Edited Black Ops Replay is a Beautiful Thing

We’ve all seen a million different Black Ops replays posted on YouTube at this point, but I don’t think you’ve seen one like this before.

It’s by YouTuber MachineX showcasing the skills of Qtis, a man who is so crazy he uses a sniper rifle to perfection on Firing Range. How the?

I think there’s a lot of potential in beautifully edited replays like this, and I hope we see more of these in the future instead of ones recorded off the TV with Drowning Pool playing in the background.

  1. I, for one, didn’t like the editing at all. The intro was more than a third of the whole clip, the graves and rainbows were needless to say the least, fast forwarding like that, slowing, then fast forwarding again looks way too sloppy for my liking. Perhaps if it was on a slower speed it might look better.
As for display of skill – videos like those are very deceptive. I’m not one to doubt that guy’s skills, but if you tape me over the course of a day, I’m sure you can piece up something flashy that showcases me like a mean murder machine. I’m not very good at Black Ops, but even I have some awesome moments.
What I mean is, you can’t judge a player’s skills by cut and edited footage, the best way is to just watch them play through a full match, as uninteresting as that may be. Again, not doubting Qtis’ skills. 🙂

  2. I was about to say the same thing, Moose cheese. We weren’t given any kdr stats, a single “set” for a single (and entire) match or anything remotely solid.
Sure, it’d kill the momentum of the vid by flashing #s and shit, but it certainly would raise credibility.
    In a video game. Yay!

Seriously though, this vid does have high production value.
