Luigi’s Mansion Gets Legitimately Scary

I always thought it pretty random that Luigi’s only standalone title was him playing Ghostbuster in  a haunted mansion, but nothing’s too weird for Nintendo, so we just accepted it and got a rather annoying Smash Bros. level to boot.

But this is the first time I’ve seen the concept actually become literally scary, something that was avoided in the actual game so kids could play it without having nightmares. Needless to say, if it looked like this instead, that would not have been the case.

  1. Luigi also starred in Mario is Missing back on the SNES, it wasn’t a traditional Mario Bros title though. You played as Luigi going across the world solving trivia or something to find Mario who was kidnapped by Bowser. Used to play it as a kid.
