Game of Thrones as an 8-Bit Platformer

It’s the unfortunate off-season for Game of Thrones, but that doesn’t mean fandom for the show has died down all that much. One enthusiast has put the above video together which translates the show into an 8-bit platformer like you’d play on Game Boy back in 1997.

The graphics are great, but it’s definitely the music that’s my favorite part.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t exist as a playable version but…OH MY GOD YES IT DOES. Brb, going to try to get Tyrion on the Iron Throne.

How many of you are resisting the urge to read the books during the off-season? I failed to do so last break, and am now one of those “book people,” for better or worse.

  1. That music is crazy good. I want to re-read the books, but I have this insane mental block that demands I always read something new instead. Like there’s so many books in the world, how can I justify reading the same thing twice? It’s dumb, but at some point I picked up that mindset.

  2. That music is awesome. I had no idea it would work that well, but it did.

I read the books ages ago, but I don’t like to talk about it. It’s literally impossible to talk about without sounding smug and/or pretentious and/or a huge nerd.
