Infinity Ward has been touting the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for some time now, saying they want it be the biggest game launch in the history of time. If that’s the case, then is this really your best effort at box art, the closest thing a game has to a movie poster?
While it is nice to officially see “Call of Duty” in the title (rumors are it was being dropped completely), I really don’t enjoy the ambigui-soldier and fireworks show. Why ambigui-soldier? Well, I can’t tell if he’s a goodie or a baddie for one. He’s got a US military helmet on, but he’s wearing a scarf, he’s holding an M-16, but it looks like it went on a diet and lost ten pounds. I’m confused.
To be fair, the last box art wasn’t exactly a Rembrant either, but for a game that’s supposed to be the second coming of Christ, I think they need to go back to the drawing board one more time.
All box art should be hand-drawn and crappy like the original Mega Man box art. To this day, nothing beats that.
Just FYI, many US Soldiers wear a mouth covering while in country, be it an Under Armour mask or something less rainbow six, to keep sand out of their mouth/face and protect from the sun.
Being former military, its a baklava, standard issue.
go spend half a year in the sandbox, stressed out and fighting for you life an the one of others… tell me you wont be drained and loose AT LEAST 10 pounds…
i dont know why you hate it, i think it looks awsome, the old COD box art wasnt as good but this is awsome
