An Art Project I Can Get Behind: 151 Pokemon, 151 Artists

You think that I’m alone in my seemingly strange devotion to all things Pokemon, but today I have proof that at least 151 other adults share a similar interest.

This is a rather fantastic art project called “Pokemon Battle Royale.” No, Pokemon are not given explosive collars and forced to fight to the death on an island (though that would be awesome). Rather, it’s a series where 151 artists each took one of the original class of Pokemon, and crafted it in their own signature style.

To get an idea of just how diverse these entries get, check out the first fifteen or so below. It really is a fantastic project, my Poke-enthusiasm aside, and you should check out the full gallery here.

Head here to see all 151.
