A Massive Collection of Video Game Bee Art, I Mean Bead Art
Gob’s not on board.
Anyway, this giant gallery comes courtesy of Unreality reader Christopher’s cousin, who has taken up the hobby of making various creations pertaining to video games out of beads.
There’s some pretty cool stuff here, including a ton of Pokemon, so naturally I had to feature it. How does stuff like this work? Is there like a program that blows up any image so it’s laid out in a pixel grid? After that, I would imagine it’s kind of color by numbers.
Check out the bees below:
fricking sick!

If you can get sprites of the thing you want to make its super easy. You just open up a photo editing program and zoom in until you can see pixel by pixel. I don’t know what other people do for things that don’t have sprites pre-made, but I personally like to draw my own with the pencil tool in photoshop.
Do an angry birds one!
