Movie Storybook Art from Pixar’s Josh Cooley

What do the folks at Pixar do when they’re not crafting classic movie after classic movie? Well, many of them are super creative in their off time as well, especially storyboard artist Josh Cooley. He’s spent his time illustrating a new book called “Movies R Fun,” which depicts various classic film scenes in storybook format.

However, nearly all of the films featured are decidedly NOT for children, and the contrast is why it’s a cool project in the first place. It also kind of makes me wonder what an R-rated Pixar film might look like. What, they can’t ever do that? C’mon.

Sure Pixar could do an R-Rated movie……if they weren’t soulless corporate automatons destined to create film after film after film of animals and oddly-shaped humans talking in obnoxiously stupid voices until the sameness if it all renders humanity’s minds too empty to find their wallets any more. Come on, Pixar. I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU!
