Long-Lost Conceptual Penguins from Batman Returns
Back before Batman was controlled by Christopher Nolan, some pretty crazy shit used to go down in Gotham. Shit like Danny Devito’s Penguin wrecking havoc on the city using a combination of terrifying circus thugs and armed penguins.
This gallery shows a few of the concepts for “war penguins” that didn’t quite make it to production. I guess it’s hard to strap a metal chestplate and rocket to a penguin without PETA complaining. But come on, boxing glove penguin is just hilarious.
