Girl Sings the “Unsingable” Song from The Fifth Element

Near the end of the Fifth Element, the song sung by the alien opera singer was meant to hit so many bizarre notes it couldn’t actually be sung by a human. Well, so much for that.
Of course, in this great wide world of ours, there’s someone attempting to do the impossible. That would be Laura, above, who tackles notes that make my throat hurt just thinking about them. She skips the first aria, but does take on the hardest part without any digital enhancement whatsoever.

This is why copy editors exist, and why even little websites need them… sigh. You just don’t see your own mistakes a lot of the time.

Think they are referring to that second “any” unless I missed something in my English courses that allows the use of the term “any” in that fashion.

the song is called “Lucia Di Lammermoor” and in the movie it is sung by Inva Mulla Tchako. hardly unsingable… just extremely technical with the vocal chords being vibrated on the exhale and on the inhale.
