Behind the Scenes with The Sandlot’s Beast
When I was younger, one of the most terrifying movie creatures outside of Jurassic Park raptors and Alien aliens was The Beast from the Sandlot. For most of the movie, the creature is the stuff of myth as the boys refuse to hop the fence to get their balls back.
Well, turns out that even without all the shadowy camerawork, the thing is pretty terrifying. This photo set shows the Beast behind the scenes, and with two people operating it, the thing is larger than most horses. Of course the dog turned out to be just that…a dog, later on the movie, albeit a huge one.
