A Gallery of the Best Simpsons Movie Homages

How does the Simpsons keep making new episodes after all these years? Why, by taking other content for themselves of course!

I kid, I kid. In these scenes pointed out by this gentleman, we see various homages the show has done for various movies over the years. As it turns out, there are quite a few, and I’m guessing you probably missed a huge chunk of these, as you either didn’t recognize them, or they went right over your head.

Check out the full gallery below, and prepare to be amazed.

    Simpson’s did it.

How could they leave out the “Cape Fear’ parody episode where Sideshow Bob tries to kill Bart? That’s my FAVORITE episode.

  • I can’t believe I missed some of these.

There’s also a great, subtle Clockwork Orange one (NSFW) where Bart is reaching for two cupcakes with cherries on top with the same angles and everything of Alex reaching for the breasts on the naked chick.

Can we post NSFW links with an appropriate warning?

  • these are only the ones with visual style… how about the 2001 A Space Odyssey homage? There are, especially in the early years, countless homages.

One particular one that I remember that they missed in the list of ‘The Shining’ was the episode when Homer forgets to put up Bart and Milhouse writes it backwards on the wall.

  • Edgarska

My favorite is the Full Metal Jacket parody.

Paul has a strict no-boob policy.

And of course for bonus points, the teacher in the Graduate homage is voiced by Dustin Hoffmann.

You forgot about the Great Escape reference when Maggie and the other babies were after their pacifiers in the daycare, plus in the same episode, there’s a The Birds reference as Homer walks in on all the babies now reunited with their binkies.

There is also a Indiana Jones homage (can’t rmember the ep), where Bart steals the jar of Homer’s coins.

How about where Homer climbs the back of the Flanders’ car with the golf clubs, a Terminator parody, him being T-1000.
