What prompted me to mix it up by going into the movie realm for this week’s Battle Royale? It’s probably something to do with the fact I played a bunch of Assassin’s Creed and watched Smokin’ Aces this weekend. Whatever the case, I wanted to see what it was like if movie assassins faced off against each other, kind of like what ended up going down in Aces. These battles are one on one however, and I’ve tried to match each assassin with a (somewhat) similar opponent. But really, who was going up against the Terminator?

When if first debuted, Gossip Girl was decried as an O.C. clone by fans of the recently deceased series. And as the show progressed the characters seemed to mimic their west coast counterparts pretty damn closely. But ultimately which show did the best take on each archetype? Last weeks two Elite Eight matchups were tough, but I think that these two today are even tougher. We’re truly in an all-legend level now, and it’s a shame to send anyone home. We’ve got two Soul Calibur alums, a Dead or Alive poster girl and one Tekken babe. Ready….OK!

In this episode of Battle Royale, we pit the guys from Super Troopers against their counterparts from the comedy Beerfest. This isn’t a drinking contest, mind you, but a good old fashioned slobber-knocker. Both movies starred the guys from Broken Lizard, and both movies were hilarious. Club Dread wasn’t awful, by the way, but it’s not at the same level as Super Troopers or Beerfest. Getting back to the fight, though, who would win between a bunch of Vermont state troopers and a bunch of guys who drink beer like their lives depend on it?
