This Week In Movie Trailers!

Well the 4th of July came and went and Transformers is still top dog in the Box Office…so sad. I have to admit that I saw it this past weekend and I was appauled at how many trailers played out before we even got to the feature film. Why is this happening more and more when we have posts like this that allow everyone to see what they want to when they want to!?

Let’s do this.

Sharknado 2: The Second One

How many people really watch these movies on average? I know that they’re popular on Netflix, but I just can’t get into them. (Will I see this? – nope)

Gone Girl

My all time favorite director is back at it again! David Fincher delivers time and time again on movies that seem to just pull you in. I can’t wait for this. (Will I see this? – duh)

Boyhood

While I’m amazed at the patience and what it took to make this film, I’m not sure it’s going to deliver the payoff the director is hoping for.
(Will I see this? – rental)

The Zero Theorem

Poor Terry Gilliam hasn’t had too much success as of late. Despite all the accolades that the trailer shows, I doubt that this one his a home run either. (Will I see this? – rental)

Exodus: Gods & Kings

Does anyone else think that Joel Edgerton looks extremely young in this? I’m not sure on this one, all the big name actors seem out of place for this type of film. I could be wrong and Ridley might be on the rebound. (Will I see this? – rental)

The Hunger Games – Teaser 2

While not as effective as the first teaser (the way Peeta looked up in the first one was chilling), it’s still fun to watch. This is one of those franchises that I think has only been made better with each installment. (Will I see this? – yes)

Heavenly Sword

If this was done 8 years ago or so maybe I’d be more supportive, but this animation looks half-assed. There is no excuse when video games (such as this one) have CGI cut-scene sequences that are leaps and bounds better than a full length feature film. For shame. (Will I see this? – nope)

Unbroken

Written by the Coens and directed by Jolie … an odd pairing but could be promising. (Will I see this? – maybe)

Wild

Self discovery anyone? I feel like she’s stretching to earn another Oscar but in the wrong way. (Will I see this? – nope)

Jamie Marks Is Dead

“I see dead people…” (Will I see this? – rental)
