X-Men: Days of Future Past was a great film, but it served to do something other than just entertain. The plot was actually meant to undo a lot of the damage done to the series by X-Men: The Last Stand, in which Brett Ratner murdered everyone. As such, barely any of the new characters in that film appeared in this one (except Ellen Page’s wall-warper), but one almost made the cut.
That would be Vinnie Jones’ Juggernaut, which could have showed up in the post-apocalypse as an altered version of himself. These concept pieces show what that might have looked like, and it’s clear they were going for a sort of Bane vibe, but I don’t think he quite pulls it off.
