Welcome to Friday, everyone, a day where we celebrate all of the big screen previews from the past seven days in our weekly This Week In Movie Trailers column! How is everyone doing? You well-deserving readers need a break! (After you read my article, or course!)

This week has a bunch of trailers from movies we’ve already featured in the past, but also some new ones including a movie that I am VERY much looking forward to. So, let’s get right to it.

22 Jump Street

This seems like one of those trailers that bait people into going by giving away ALL of the funniest parts of the movie, though I really hope that’s not the case. I very much enjoyed the first one as your know and I am a sucker for these kinds of comedies. I’ll be going for sure.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

My mom read this children’s book to me often when I was a tiny human being, though I have no idea how close this movie follows the source material, if at all. Was Steve Carell also in the book? I kid, I kid. Anyway, once again, we have a trailer that pretty much gives away the entire plot except the ending, though I guess that’s understandable based on its target demographic. Also, any trailer that’s over 2 minutes is way too long.

Tammy

Haha, it’s been awhile since I’ve heard that song. This movie looks pretty good! Melissa McCarthy is pretty funny and really carries a movie. I probably won’t see this in theatres, but who am I to predict the future?!

Snowpiercer

Go see this movie.

Road to Paloma

I went to Q&A with Jason Momoa at a convention last year, and the guy is goofy as hell; a bit of a bro too, but a really likable guy who cares about stuff. That said, I enjoyed him in Stargate Atlantis as well as Game of Thrones, so I might check this out down the road.

A Million Ways to Die in the West (NSFW)

This is the most recent Red Band trailer for the film, and looks even more ridiculous. I have no idea how this movie is going to review or turn out, so I am very interested to see what critics make of it later this month.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

So, this is the movie in question that I was mentioning above.  Not really a surprise since I’ve stated how much I am looking forward to this before. That said, now that I’ve seen the first full trailer for the movie, I am more pumped than ever! It really does look terrific and compelling! You will definitely be seeing me there on opening weekend.

That’s all for this weeks, folks!

I enjoyed Snowpiercer a lot more than I thought I would.

Can someone explain to me why I hated Snowpiercer? I’ve heard from so many people that it’s good and I was un-impressed. What am I missing? I wanted to like it … the acting was good … the casting was good … the idea and plot were great … but somewhere in the middle after they had broken through and started on down the train – I was fed up because things seemed to get completely ridiculous.

Can’t wait to see Planet of the Apes.

People like different things, is probably a good answer :)

I agree completely … just feel like i’m missing out because I didn’t “get it” … ya know?
