Zelda’s Rupees as Actual Bills

Published by at 3:00 pm under Images,Video Games

rupee

We’re all used to hacking through plants or smashing bots to find those brightly colored stones known as “rupees” in the Zelda universe, but what if they were a bit more manageable?

Artist Ash has redesigned the rupee for a more modern age of paper money, featuring some of Hyrule’s best heroes as the figures adorning the bills. Of course Link gets the shaft as usual as he’s placed on the lowest denomination. I can’t actually remember the name of pointy-boobs who is on the fifty, as it’s been quite a while since I last came across her.

Link is hardly getting the shaft…the 1s would be (in theory) the most widely circulated/used denomination and thus Link would get the most exposure.

They left out the silver rupees depicting Sheik, and Link’s 200 rupee other note.
