The Rhyming Video Game Alphabet

I’m told that this gallery is by Edward Gorey, the famed macabre artist, but given the fact that he died in 2000, that would be very Macabre indeed.

Though really, looking through these, I think all of them did in fact come out before 2000. Maybe this actually is Gorey?

Whatever the case, it’s a really cool project that goes through the entire video game alphabet, rhyming the whole way down. Check out the entire poem below:

This is from Brentalfloss’ website! Mr. “what if (insert game name) had lyrics” himself! http://brentalflossthecomic.com/

too many ads up recently. There was a new one popping up below the bottom of every image on this page. (im all in favour of ads, I get it, pay the bills, etc) but recently the one that shows up at the bottom of every pic and clip is getting ridiculous.

ive been coming to this site daily for over a year, but I may have to stop. It’s a little much.

It’s from the Brentalfloss web-comic, with art by Andrew Dobson.

The Gorey connection is just that it’s a spoof of The Gashlycrumb Tinies, his book where he describes the deaths of 26 children (one for each letter of the Alphabet, obvs) in rhyming couplets.

Wow. Once again, impossible to actually read these because your god damn ads take up the entire picture. I get you need these to make money for the site, but enough already. Your entire site has been hijacked by all these ads. It shouldn’t be this difficult to view your pages anymore, yet…

Some people can’t install an ad blocker because they’re browsing in a locked down corporate environment.
