It's not just the graphics that have evolved. You don't realize how nice some modern gaming conventions are until you go back and play some of the older games. I got some old games I used to love or missed off GOG.com and pretty much without reservation it has usually been a bit of a mess because have just come such a long way. First example that comes to my mind is trying to control your character in the Crusader: No Regret and No Mercy games, so clunky compared to a modern shooter, and so hard to maneuver around because there is really no map or objective marker. It's wild and honestly, not as much fun as I thought it would be. Well, I'll sit down and beat the game eventually . . . some day . . . maybe . . . if they ever stop releasing good modern games . . .
