I’m such a fanboy of the original House of Cards that I couldn’t get past the second episode of this remake. The original might be dated, but IT IS superior to the Breaking Bads and Mad Mens today (and those are my favorite current shows).

Netflix has made an original mini series (6-7 episodes) before, it’s called LillyHammer, it’s pretty mediocre.

I am enjoying this series so much I have forced myself to watch only two at the most each day. Usually I can resist and watch just one. For those who are interested in this series I could also recommend the original Brit version. Granted it feels a bit dated, but I thought it was very entertaining. There were 3 seasons with about 4 episodes each if I recall. But be warned, the two series have their differences, but if you know what happens in the original you can make some pretty educated guesses about what will happen in the US version.

Binge watching it right now. On the last episode. I find your assessment pretty much bang on. The amount of polish on this show could serve almost alone as a reason to check it out.
