You mentioned that all players are left in the same matchmaking pool, thats not entirely true. There are actually 3 skill levels for 3 different pools. Normal, high and very high. Depending on your wins/looses and some other facts unknown by me, you're placed in a matchimaking pool corresponding to your skill level. I've also noticed that if you're playing along with 4 other friends that are in a matchmaking skill pool different than yours, you tend to be placed on the pool that adjusts the majority of the players.

@Captainhowdy Those "poor" choices you've mentioned are not actually choices. Not having, for example, an automatic camera focus is part of the game dificulty, and that over the years while dota was only a WarIII mod has become an important mechanism that draws a line between good and bad players. If you dont know how to position your camera right, you will not be able to perform some very specialized plays. The same goes for the "allert" when you're under attack. That makes necessary that you are aware all times where you hero are and what he is doing when performing some micro or anything else you might want to. And the last point of your argumentation, I dont know what you mean by proper keyboard support. Dota 2 is full costumizable, you can have your actions anywhere you want in your keyboard, idk how that can be said as poor keyboard support.

Poorly designed hud..... not sure what game you were playing, but its one of the best designed huds I've had the pleasure of using.

Lack of keyboard support??...... thats just plain false you can map any action to any button, there are a myriad of options in this respect.

In respect to other moba, its a graphical beast, the skills and actions are beautifully animated. You most certainly can snap the camera back to your character, or your courier or any of your control groups simply by doubling clicking/tapping the button you have mapped them to (clearly your keyboard comment is dubious at best if you didnt even know you could do this simply task).

Best Moba on the market by far, may be on the best games Ive ever played period.

The high learning curve also keeps out a lot of other players. You have to fight through a poorly designed HUD, lack of proper keyboard support, unexplained characters (this one was a huge bother to me), and beyond all those stupid choices they made, they also decided that there'd be no next to no visual impact for skills and combat - Skills blend in to the scenery, and there's no visual alert until your character is about to die, and without the ability to snap the screen to your character, you're most definitely going to die unless you keep your camera manually focused on your character (since automatic doesn't appear to be an option).

So you won't find me playing the game. It's annoyance after annoyance, like the game is actually fighting back while I play.
