Mario and Link Stop the Doomsday Moon Problem

Published by at 3:00 pm under Images,Video Games

moon

This would have been funny even not in 3D GIF form, but the artist decided that it needed a bit of dimension to it.

I like this piece because it cleverly references both worlds, Bullet Bill and the looming moon from Majora’s Mask, while drawing on the classic imagery of 1902′s A Trip to the Moon, where this exact same scene was recreated. You might also recognize it if you saw Hugo last year.

I love it when a series of good references come together.

Actually, the first thing that popped up in my mind was George Melies’ “A Trip to the Moon”

Well can’t I just point a finger at you and say it’s all your fault so I don’t look like a total idiot?

After all it is clearly your fault that I didn’t read the description. I mean who has the time to read anymore. I say less words and more Batman.
