Dunno, what to say. I watched the first 3 seasons almoast back tback because at that time I was at home with a broken leg. At that time it was one of the best shows I've ever watched (well I sort of got very attached). But as it progresed it I kind of lost interest, or lost track or something. I have to say it was a pretty bad seson 5 for me. I tried to watch the last 2 episodes 2 times yesterday, but fell asleep after the first 15 minutes of the 1st one. Somehow I lost interest for the show somwhere in season 4.

Wow, I really haven't been a fan of the dystopia this season. WHY WHY WHY do sci-fi writers have such a need to do this? Joss Whedon did it with Dollhouse, Heroes did it...It just drives me nuts that it completely disconnects you from the story that you were following and brings up an entire new (and much more grim) set of issues to solve and villains to chase, and leaves unresolved whatever was left hanging in the present day. Of course Fringe has changed up its formula every season, each season brings something dramatically earth-shaking to the story. For the most part I've enjoyed it. But somewhere in season 5 Walter said something about "that time we reset the universes/timeline" and I was like WHICH TIME? because there were at least 3. It's an intriguing show but hard as heck to follow even as a devoted follower.

In other X-files related news.... did you see Gillian Anderson is coming back to US TV after like 10 years..... in the new young Hannibal show? (As his therapist, eee!) I am looking forward to that. Was always a huge X-files nerd.

I love this show, it's one of the few shows that haven't gotten stale in it's latter seasons and I'll really miss it when it's gone. I've had my problems with this Season, specifically the death of Etta, which I really liked her character as a guide in this brave new world but I digress. Great article.

Fringe has never been a perfect show, it's had it share of ups and downs over the years but here at the end I can honestly say I think it's been one of the best runs I've ever had the pleasure of watching.

The best episodes were the ones that expertly combined the ability to gross/freak you out with high-concept pseudo-science while also finding a way for you to truly connect with and empathize with the characters. The evolution of Walter and Peter's relationship was at times both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Arguably the most important part of the show was it's ability to inject humour and "tongue-in-cheekness" without resorting to parody.

I'm definitely going to miss it after tonight's finale.
