Sometimes the world tends to look much better from afar. In fact the world kind of looks like art when you’re thousands of miles away. It’s as if certain bodies of water, fields of grass, or deserts being pounded by wind are the canvas in which God paints on. OK, enough with the religious talk.
Every year satellite pics are selected by DigitalGlobe from this year’s archive images on three different satellites. The public is invited to vote for the best images via Facebook and the winner is announced in January of 2013.
