A Song of Ice and Skyrim

When you’re making a medieval fantasy universe, chances are there are at least a few elements that are going to overlap with other series in the genre. But in the case of Skyrim vs. Game of Thrones? The influence is a bit more clear.

It’s hard to believe it’s taken this long for someone to point out all these similarities, but once you see them all, there’s a very clear overlap between the two. And we all know what came first.

The image above is only a snippet. Read on to see the full list of comparisons. I think there are some minor GoT book spoilers, but nothing that upset me too much.

    That promo shot of Jon Snow on the Iron Throne with Ghost is kind of awesome.

    Dragon Age: Origins has a lot in common with Game of Thrones as well, if you’ve played that game.

    There’s no sexposition, though, so to me Skyrim is the superior version.
